No one likes the humbling experience of disclosing to a stranger our struggles with fears, with painful relationships, with on-going stressors, with past hurts, with mistakes, with our own thought lives, with looming doubts about God or really, with anything. But we often instinctively know that continuing to ācircle the same drainā can steal our joy for life. If you have reached that point and are ready to bring these struggles out into the light, that is the first step toward freedom, movement and healing.
āThough one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly brokenā (Ecc 4:12). As we come together and open things up before God, we believe He can ālead us beside still waters and restore our souls.ā (Psalm 23:2).
